Society's consumption in the 21st century has risen to unprecedented levels. Accelerating technological change, population growth, and increasing consumption patterns have driven us to the age of the Anthropocene, in which fashion is just one of many industries contributing to an uncertain future on our unstable planet.
A decrease in quality, rise in purchasing, and the speed of replacement has transformed the fashion industry and our relationship with clothes, creating an unsustainable method of living. 
’Social Fabric' aims to highlight threads of fashion consumerism within our contemporary culture, represented through fine art and design practice
