The 5th year of The Art of Caring is needed more than ever to show support for Nurses, Carers, and the NHS to help celebrate International Nurses Day.
It features over 250 artworks and wool words on the subject of Care and Caring. This year’s theme is ‘Health for All’. 
You can find the exhibition on the First Floor, Lanesborough Wing at St George’s Hospital, London, SW17 0QT. The work will be on the walls from 10th May - 14th June 2019.

Winnie always has a great interest in fashion and previously thinks herself shops too much. She is now learning to be a conscious consumer, especially taking step-by-step move away from the high street shops. Being a conscious consumer means taking the time to consider what kind of negative impacts would bring to the planet. You will look at aspect of production or any information that helps you make an ethical shopping decision. Come and see the playful works she made to express her desires, thoughts and self-reflection during the residency in Mänttä.

Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize 2018

Creating art without boundaries - Exhibition Details:

This year the prize is co-presented by Justice Centre Hong Kong and the European Union Office of Hong Kong & Macao. Originally launched by Justice Centre Hong Kong in 2013, the prize plays a pivotal role in discovering and encouraging Hong Kong-based artists to explore the state of human rights both at home and abroad. Importantly it provides a platform for artists to create work without boundaries to magnify the impact and exposure of their stories.

Come join us to celebrate the powerful stories of Hong Kong artists and help us raise much-needed funds to ensure Justice Centre’s essential work within the community can continue into 2019.

The opening event will be catered by Pololi, serving their famous Poke bowls and the bar will be lovingly stocked by Golden Gate Wines, Peroni Beer and Absolut Vodka. 

The acclaimed judging panel includes: 
- Mimi Brown, Founder, Spring Workshop
- Claire Hsu, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Asia Art Archive 
- Professor Pang Laikwan, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Professor Eric Poon, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Ben Quilty, Artist 
- Dr Kacey Wong, Artist

The exhibition will be available for public viewing at the Hive Spring between the following times:

The Art of Caring will be exhibiting over 200 artworks and 100+ poems/aphorisms from the 10th - 30th May 2018.
​All the artworks are exhibited as postcard sized images. Come and view the exhibition on the First Floor, Lanesborough Wing, St George's Hospital, Tooting, UK. The exhibition celebrates International Nurses Day on the 12th May 2018, and this year’s theme is ‘Health is a Human Right’. It includes the work of creative people of all ages, from artists to nurses, and from people who have experience of being a carer and/or a service user.
