The Art of caring : health for all 2019

The 5th year of The Art of Caring is needed more than ever to show support for Nurses, Carers, and the NHS to help celebrate International Nurses Day.
It features over 250 artworks and wool words on the subject of Care and Caring. This year’s theme is ‘Health for All’. 
You can find the exhibition on the First Floor, Lanesborough Wing at St George’s Hospital, London, SW17 0QT. The work will be on the walls from 10th May - 14th June 2019.

Winnie always has a great interest in fashion and previously thinks herself shops too much. She is now learning to be a conscious consumer, especially taking step-by-step move away from the high street shops. Being a conscious consumer means taking the time to consider what kind of negative impacts would bring to the planet. You will look at aspect of production or any information that helps you make an ethical shopping decision. Come and see the playful works she made to express her desires, thoughts and self-reflection during the residency in Mänttä.

Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize 2018

Creating art without boundaries - Exhibition Details:

This year the prize is co-presented by Justice Centre Hong Kong and the European Union Office of Hong Kong & Macao. Originally launched by Justice Centre Hong Kong in 2013, the prize plays a pivotal role in discovering and encouraging Hong Kong-based artists to explore the state of human rights both at home and abroad. Importantly it provides a platform for artists to create work without boundaries to magnify the impact and exposure of their stories.

Come join us to celebrate the powerful stories of Hong Kong artists and help us raise much-needed funds to ensure Justice Centre’s essential work within the community can continue into 2019.

The opening event will be catered by Pololi, serving their famous Poke bowls and the bar will be lovingly stocked by Golden Gate Wines, Peroni Beer and Absolut Vodka. 

The acclaimed judging panel includes: 
- Mimi Brown, Founder, Spring Workshop
- Claire Hsu, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Asia Art Archive 
- Professor Pang Laikwan, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Professor Eric Poon, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Art of Caring will be exhibiting over 200 artworks and 100+ poems/aphorisms from the 10th - 30th May 2018.
​All the artworks are exhibited as postcard sized images. Come and view the exhibition on the First Floor, Lanesborough Wing, St George's Hospital, Tooting, UK. The exhibition celebrates International Nurses Day on the 12th May 2018, and this year’s theme is ‘Health is a Human Right’. It includes the work of creative people of all ages, from artists to nurses, and from people who have experience of being a carer and/or a service user.

Art Week Exeter is the annual city-wide art festival in Exeter, Devon. Their aim is to encourage and frame artistic activity: this involves working with artists, producers, organisations, venues and local government to produce a programme that showcases the best Exeter has to offer, alongside the work of nationally- and internationally-renowned artists.

ASYAAF 2017

The Chosunibo and Seoul Design Foundation co-organize 2017 ASYAAF will be held from July 25th to August 20th in DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) in Seoul. DDP, designed by Zaha Hadid, is one of the newest additions to the landscape of the city, and has quickly become the most sought-after venue for cultural events. (http://www.ddp.or.kr/main) .
ASYAAF has developed into the nation’s representing art fair which gathered more than 310,000 visitors and sold more than 6,000 art pieces within the last 9 years. This year’s ASYAAF will be showcasing 1,000 selections of talented art students, post-graduates professional young artists from Korea and other Asian countries. In celebration of 10th anniversary, ASYAAF has specially invited artists who had won ASYAAF prize as well as selected more than 4 times.
LVS PROJECT has been responsible for the curation of the Overseas Artists Section (for non- Korean Asian artists) at ASYAAF (Asian Students and Young Artists Art Festival) since 2009 as the event’s co-organizer. ASYAAF is an annual art festival organized by Chosun-Ilbo, one of the most influential media companies in Korea, with joint effort from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ASYAAF annually receives over 3000 applications and showcases about 500 young artists, carefully selected by esteemed judges, for the span of one month.

Exeter Open Studio 2017

Exeter Open Studios celebrates the work of artists and community art groups in the City. This year Exeter Open Studios will be taking place during the inaugural city-wide Arts Week Exeter festival (AWE).

Exhibitions and studios will be open from 13th- 21st May 2017 and will be celebrating an amazing 10 years and offering the opportunity for residents and visitors to see artists at work.

Exeter Open Studios is jointly funded by participating artists and Exeter City Council.
